The creations served up by Jorge de Andrés won the day in the 9th and 10th Cuina Oberta Restaurant Weeks, making his restaurant the first to receive the Cruzcampo Gran Reserva award two years running.
With a Michelin star, fantastic city views and exquisite set menus, Vertical was the favourite Cuina Oberta restaurant for a whole year, an achievement for which Cruzcampo rewarded it with a gift of 365 bottles of Cruzcampo Gran Reserva. Javier de Andrés expressed his thanks for the award, commenting that Cuina Oberta is an excellent initiative which allows Valencian chefs to showcase their latest creations and attract new customers and thanking Cruzcampo for its firm support of Valencian gastronomy and of the event. He finished by saying that “this award is a great honour because it comes from the public, who flock to La Sucursal and Vertical during every Cuina Oberta Restaurant Week to discover our cuisine, which uses Valencian products to give traditional fare a new twist. Our cooking evokes the Mediterranean landscape, which is what our customers love”.
