Between 16th and 22nd November, some of Valencia’s very best restaurants will be offering appetising menus at highly economical prices. The list of participating restaurants, together with their respective proposals, will be available as of tomorrow, 31st October, in www.vlcrestaurantweek.com
The success obtained by the first edition of Valencia Restaurant Week has led Turismo Valencia, responsible for the organisation of the event, to bring forward the initial date on which reservations can be made for the second edition of this gastronomic initiative, which is sponsored by Cruzcampo. Thus, as of tomorrow, Saturday, reservations may be made for lunch or dinner in any of the 54 participating restaurants, whose menus will also be available for consultation in www.vlcrestaurantweek.com
This second edition, which is to be held between 16th and 22nd November, once more includes Valencian restaurants which hold Michelin Stars, such as
Menus for 18 and 30 Euros
The prices applied during the first edition have been maintained, that is, 18 Euros for lunch and 30 Euros for dinner, which are available to all those who make a prior reservation. Those interested need only choose a restaurant in www.vlcrestaurantweek.com and make their reservation directly with the establishment, either by phone or by email, indicating that they wish to enjoy a Restaurant Week menu.
The managing director of Turismo Valencia, José Salinas, has highlighted Valencia’s pioneering role in Spain when staging the first edition of this successful initiative in June, which has already received splendid receptions in New York and London. “The first edition of Valencia Restaurant Week registered more than 6,000 menus served and an excellent evaluation by the public and the participating establishments alike”, claims Salinas.
Salinas has indicated that this second edition responds to the need to stimulate the tourist sector and to promote the city’s excellent gastronomic offer, one of the basic pillars of the Foundation’s promotional strategy in recent years. “The Valencian life-style is an added-value that most destinations do not possess. Valencian cuisine and its restaurants enjoy an ever-improving reputation abroad, and for this reason we must insist in this direction”, he concluded.

During the first edition, and in order to supply those interested in this initiative with regular information, Turismo Valencia, created a Facebook profile, which currently has around 1200 followers. For this edition, the Foundation has launched the ‘Restaurant Week Club’ gastronomy blog, which covers all the relevant events taking place in the city in relation to the initiative. “Restaurant Week Club” will also be launched tomorrow in the website www.vlcrestaurantweek.com
