Paella cooked over a wood fire and fritters with hot chocolate

News Comments Off

In order to truly experience Fallas week, you have to take part in the festival’s most popular gastronomic event: the paella contest! Under the watchful eyes of the monuments, the Fallas revellers gather in the casales (meeting places for the falleros) located in the streets, to cook this delicious dish which everyone eats to the sound of firecrackers and children’s laughter. The festival’s sweetest moment comes when the fritters are served: a delicious pumpkin- or fig-based dessert which we dip in creamy hot chocolate. It gives us energy to merrily stroll along the bright streets of Valencia visiting the most spectacular Fallas. Are you up for it?
